The office is located in the Fire Station with the entrance located on the right hand side of the building.
The 2020 Tax Rate is $1.58 per thousand dollars of valuation.
Tax Bills are mailed by August 1st and due by August 31st.

Fire taxes can be paid in the following ways:
In person during office hours with check, money order or exact cash.
The tax collector does not keep cash on hand to make change.
By mail with a check or money order (NO CASH)
Postmarks are accepted.
On-line at www.RIeGov.com with the PIN from your tax bill.
MasterCard and VISA are accepted.
A 3% convenience fee will be charged by the vendor.
Credit Card payments WILL NOT be taken by phone by the Tax Collector.
The Fire Department now has a locked mailbox on the side of the building for tax payments anytime by check or money (NO CASH). This box may be accessed 24/7.
As a property owner it is your responsibility to make sure taxes are paid, regardless of whether or not you have received your bill (RIGL 44-7-7).
Interest on unpaid tax bills accrues at 12% per annum. Any account more than 1 year past due will be sent to Tax Sale. Fees for the Tax Sale process will be posted to these past due accounts.
