About the Fire District
Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.
The Annual meeting, when election results are announced and the budget and tax rate are voted on, is held the first Saturday in June at 10:00 am.
Election Polls are always open on Friday, the day before the Annual Meeting, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and the morning of the Annual meeting from 8:00 -9:45 am.

Meeting Minutes
The Harmony Fire District is required by Rhode Island state law to file meeting minutes on-line at the RI Secretary of State’s website. This law ensures transparency amongst public bodies and is explained within the Open Meetings Act, or OMA. Click below to access the SOS website.
Access To Public Records
The Access to Public Records Act, or APRA, is the Rhode Island state law that gives individuals the right to see and obtain public records. The law provides guidelines for obtaining access to these records, and also defines which records are subject to public inspection and which are exempt.
